Liverpool John Moores University’s Face Lab has scooped the 2019 Educate North Research Team of the Year Award, for its innovative techniques in craniofacial identification and forensic art.

LJMU’s Face Lab has unveiled a digital reconstruction of the face of a Seventeenth century Scottish Soldier whose body was discovered at a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013.
They are most-commonly associated with a blocked nose and headaches but the humble sinuses could hold an important key to the evolution of the human face.
