2. Disability and neurodiversity equity: next steps at LJMU

   In recognition of Disability History Month (14 November to 20 December) and the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December, we’re reflecting on our progress over the past 24 months to support staff and students with a disability/ who are neurodiverse and outlining our next steps to advance disability equity.

   Clearing is fast approaching and, once again, we are looking for support to staff the 105 Clearing Hotlines on Thursday 15 August 2019.

4. LJMU Student Named in Merseyside's 30 Under 30

   Rio Boothe is one of the Liverpool Echo's 30 Under 30. The article, penned by LJMU Student Journalist Mackenzie Argent, celebrates Rio and 29 other individuals under the age of 30 who are making significant impacts in Merseyside.

5. Metro Mayor backs new Centre for Educational Leadership

   LJMU is launching a new Centre for Educational Leadership to help steer the region's schools and colleges post-COVID.

6. Teaching and Learning Conference and Awards 2017

   Read more about the sixteenth LJMU Teaching and Learning Conference, which took place at the Redmonds Building on 14 and 15 June 2017.

7. Dinosaur footprint expert to feature in Channel 5 series fronted by Stephen Fry

   Dinosaurs with Stephen Fry, airing from Sunday 12 February on Channel 5, will feature expert analysis from LJMU’s Dr Peter Falkingham. He will explain how birds are modern descendants of dinosaurs by looking at the motion of ostriches compared to the T. rex.

8. "A joyous occasion" - volunteering at graduation

   We’re looking for colleagues to join us next month to make our March ceremonies occasions that our students and their families will always remember. You’ll find it an incredibly rewarding and enjoyable experience.

9. Submissions for the Green Gown Awards

   The university is looking for potential submissions for the Green Gown Awards, which recognise exceptional sustainability initiatives being undertaken by universities and colleges.

10. Could your team offer a work experience placement?

    Our work experience programme is looking for expressions of interest from staff and teams across the university for a Year 10 pupil to undertake a placement within your department.
