1. Graduation review Wednesday 11 July

   Wednesday saw the School of Sport Studies, Leisure and Nutrition graduate in the morning and the Public Health Institute and the School of Education in the afternoon ceremony.

   The Secretariat is now seeking expressions of interest from eligible candidates to represent Professional Services as a Staff Governor member of the Board of Governors.

   Following the call for nominations, eight candidates are standing for election, with the election period opening on Monday 5 June and running until Monday 19 June.

4. Liverpool College of Art alumni reminisce at Bicentenary year documentary screening

   A film charting the history of Liverpool College of Art, today’s Liverpool School of Art and Design, was screened at a special event attended by more than 50 alumni of the college and university.

6. Honorary Fellow Natalie Gross

7. Nominate an LJMU honorary fellow

   We’re asking our students, staff, alumni and LJMU community to nominate individuals they would like to become an LJMU honorary fellow.

8. New HEFCE funding to upskill Liverpool City Region’s engineering industry

   LJMU has been awarded a share of £6.1 million by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) to develop new and enhanced higher education courses.

9. Presenting the past to the public

   Research at LJMU is working on ways of presenting the past and creating content for historic sites and museums across Ireland and the rest of the globe.

10. Raising environmental awareness among schoolchildren

    LJMU has been awarded funding to help raise awareness and understanding of the climate, the environment and nature among schoolchildren in the Liverpool City Region.
