1. Academic Staff Governor vacancy

   The Secretariat is now seeking expressions of interest from eligible candidates for the position of Academic Staff Governor to serve on the Board of Governors.

2. Positive response to Actus staff development platform

   There has been an extremely positive response from staff to the introduction of Actus, our new system to support development and performance.

3. Academic Registry invigilation training

   Training sessions will be held via Microsoft Teams throughout April and will cover the main aspects of the role of invigilators, including responsibilities prior to, during and following the completion of the examination.

4. Academic Registry results notification briefings

   Two Microsoft Teams sessions will take place later this month to assist LJMU administrative staff involved with the pre and post board of examiner process, including results notification.

5. 135 students graduate from global partner Westford University College

   Over 135 students have graduated this March at a ceremony in Dubai.

6. LJMU Libraries, Sport Building and SLB opening times over Easter break

   The Student Life Building will be open 24/7.

7. Drama students to perform during Battle of the Atlantic 80th anniversary week

   The three free performances will take place on Wednesday 24, Thursday 25 and Friday 26 May at 7.30pm at the John Foster Drama Studio.

8. LJMU community takes to the streets for Liverpool Pride 2023

   Over 130 students, staff and alumni joined the Liverpool City Region Pride March at the weekend.

9. Redmonds Building closure

   As part of our summer works programme, Redmonds Building is closed for the next few weeks for improvements.

10. UK Malaysia University Consortium host 80 students at inaugural conference

    LJMU as the Consortium Secretariat played a leading role in organising the five-day event.
