  5. Hannah Kate Whelan

    Hannah is an impressive LJMU alumni and former British gymnast turned coach and now mother. During her career she represented England and Great Britain at competitions including the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, British, European and World Championships, all while balancing her studies as a sports scholar.

  6. COMPASS for staff

    COMPASS is the LJMU Faculty of Science’s response to this environment and provides guidance on when it is OK to use AI within your Modules’ coursework and exams. Our aim is to provide you with opportunities to learn how to use AI tools responsibly and ethically.

  8. FTDP scholarship funding

    Each scholarship funding is for three years of a full-time PhD degree programme, and includes tuition fees, a tax-free maintenance stipend of around £18,622 per annum (rising in line with URKI rates) and additional research costs of up to £1,600 per year.

    Not all of our students are experienced travellers and the Study Abroad Team are keen to support as best we can. We host a number of compulsory information sessions that students are required to attend before embarking on their experience of lifetime.     Dr Susanne Zajitschek is a rising star within our School of Biological and Environmental Sciences, having been recognised for her impact on the student learning experience and her leadership potential in teaching and learning. Joining at the onset of the pandemic in 2020, Susanne has made a big impact at LJMU in just a short period of time.
