   Open Research Week 2024 is a collaborative event by LJMU, Edge Hill University, University of Liverpool, and the University of Essex from Monday 26 February to Friday 1 March.

2. New global opportunities portal

   The LJMU Global Opportunities Team is delighted to announce the launch of a new Global Opportunities Portal. This portal has been developed in-house by the LJMU ITS Team to offer a better user experience to our students seeking new experiences abroad.

4. Career Tips: How to make the most out of the Final Year Support and Jobs Fair

   The Final Year Support and Jobs Fair takes place on Wednesday 21 February from 11am to 2pm at the Student Life Building and is aimed at final year students who want to get a head start on graduation and take care of their next steps. These are our tips on how to make the most of the fair.

5. Join the alumni mentoring program

   LJMU Connect has launched the LJMU Mentoring Group to enable students, staff and alumni to develop meaningful mentoring connections within our LJMU community.

6. Research explores how Liverpool Cathedral’s music programme helped communities during the pandemic

   Research undertaken by LJMU academic, Dr Simone Krüger Bridge, has investigated how Liverpool Cathedrals music outreach programme, one of the vastest in the UK, helped people through the Covid-19 pandemic.

7. Staff networks explored, explained and celebrated

   Staff recently came together to celebrate the power of staff networks in the workplace and to mark the launch of the Admin and PA Staff Network.

8. Could you be the EDI rep for your faculty or Professional Services?

   LJMU has created five Associate Dean positions across the faculties and one for Professional Services to support the university in driving forward the EDI agenda.

9. Partnership with ScreenSkills promotes High end TV careers to Merseyside pupils

   The university’s Liverpool Screen School (LSS) has delivered six roadshows to introduce year 10 pupils to the prospect of High-end TV (HETV) careers.

10. Global symposium explores how universities and business schools can maximise social value

    More than 100 people from 12 countries gathered in-person and online for a two-day global symposium hosted by LJMU's Liverpool Business School and Social Value UK.
