1. Ambassador Fellow, Phil Redmond, receives Freedom of Liverpool

   LJMU Ambassador Fellow, Professor Phil Redmond CBE, will today (Friday, 2 November) be awarded the Freedom of Liverpool – the city’s highest civic honour.

4. Oar-some marathon rowing challenge

   Danny Cullinane, a Senior Lecturer in the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, is attempting to row further than he has ever rowed before, by completing a marathon distance (42,195 metres) in aid of the charity True Athlete Project.

5. Honorary Fellow: Ian Meadows

   Ian Meadows received an Honorary Fellowship from LJMU on Friday 28 November 2014 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to business and the civic life of the city.

6. School of Nursing and Allied Health receives £250,000 from ESRC

   The School of Nursing and Allied Health has been awarded £250,000 from the prestigious Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) for a project which will examine the rights of healthcare practitioners in relation to abortion.

8. Staff Sharepoint migration

   IT Services has started the process of migrating all of our on-premise SharePoint and shared drives (JT2) to either Microsoft Teams or SharePoint Online.

   T-shirts, outerwear, mugs and water bottles are now available to help staff get talking and thinking about their health and wellbeing.

10. The anatomy of our ancestors

    Forensic techniques by international scientists, led by LJMU’s Dr Matteo Borrini, have created the facial reconstruction of the oldest preserved mummy in the Egyptian Museum of Florence.
