   Public Health institute (PHI) host the European Federation of Environmental Health (EFEH) a regional branch of the International Federation of Environmental Health, which seeks to a provide means for exchanging information and experience on environmental health works to promote co-operation between countries

   It is with great sadness that the university announces the death of Caroline Chinn following a long illness.

4. LJMU donates microscopes for African youngsters

   A project is underway to ship LJMU microscopes to Africa.

5. Celebrating Cultures Event

   The celebrating cultures event this year had India, China, Canada, Pakistan, Colombia, Nepal, England, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lesotho, Scotland, Vietnam, Nigeria, Indonesia, Greece, Italy, Bangladesh, Switzerland, Iran, Somalia and Brazil being represented. Following this event, an international student wrote a reflection on their experience in participating.

7. Volunteer stories: giving back to the LFC community

   Brett Duffy, Science and Football student received a Student Volunteer Award for his contribution to the LFC Foundation.

8. School of Education project inspiring next generation of teachers and students

   Spearheaded by School of Education lecturer, Adam Vasco, the two-year project aims to bridge the gap between school and university to ensure that people of all backgrounds, especially those from the Global Majority, have the confidence and support to choose university study.

9. Curator joins LJMU for curating the web research project

   Curator joins LJMU's School of Art and Design Exhibition Research Lab for a 12 month research project.

10. Registration open for conference on decolonial approaches to teaching and research

    A mini-conference highlighting developments in decolonial approaches to teaching and research across the university featuring three sessions of talks and discussion on decolonising pedagogy, assessment and research methods, will take place in November.
