2. Accolades for students at Graduate Fashion Week

   BA Fashion Design and Communication students have been making their mark in the fashion industry with their collections at Graduate Fashion Week. A fantastic number of students were shortlisted for prestigious awards and two won their categories.

3. Introducing eco-friendly search engine Ecosia

   In support of JMSUs Sustainability Week taking place from next Monday, 3 February, the university will be trialling a new eco-friendly default internet search engine.

5. Volunteer opportunities with Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal

   Student volunteers to collect for the charity over the Remembrance period - now until 11 November.

6. Christmas closure and support services over the festive break

   The university will close at 5pm on Thursday 23 December and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 4 January. The Student Life Building will be open 24/7 throughout the festive break including on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

7. Women in Professional Services event: Wednesday 12 October 2022

   Staff are invited to the first face-to-face networking event organised by the Women in Professional Services (WPS) Network, taking place on Wednesday 12 October 2022 at the Student Life Building with guest speaker Dawn Corker.

8. City encouraged to find its zen with free mass guided meditation

   LJMU to broadcast the 15-minute session via Melodic Distraction on Mon 27 February from 8.30am.
