1. In memoriam Dr Alistair Beere

   Dr Alistair Beere passed away at the end of August and his funeral arrangements have been shared by his family.

   We have launched a brand new app version of MyLJMU.

5. Data protection related policy updates

   Four data protection related policies have been updated and can now be found on the LJMU Policy Centre.

6. Admissions Policy update

   The LJMU Admissions Policy has recently undergone some minor amendments and the updated version can be found in the Policy Centre.

7. Improvement works at John Foster Building

   Next month (June 2022), we will begin a programme of improvement works to John Foster Building, which means it will be closed for a period over the summer.

8. Athena SWAN success for School of Sport and Exercise Sciences

   The School of Sport and Exercise Sciences has been successful in its application for Athena SWAN Bronze Award.

9. Sean Loughney - who is LJMU's new rising research star?

   Senior lecturer in marine engineering recently won the LJMU Rising Star in Research award.
