1. Staff car parking update August 2023

   The university will continue to subsidise staff car parking until 31 August 2024.

2. Join LJMU at Liverpool Pride 2024

   All students and staff are invited to join LJMU at Liverpool Pride on Saturday 27 July.

3. Introducing eco-friendly search engine Ecosia

   In support of JMSUs Sustainability Week taking place from next Monday, 3 February, the university will be trialling a new eco-friendly default internet search engine.

4. Designs for inclusion: enhancing doctoral education programme

   Staff can sign-up for the programme delivered across two afternoons, 1pm to 4.30pm on Thursday 9 November and Wednesday 22 November.

5. NSS raises £4,500 for charity in three weeks

   Final year students have so far raised a terrific £4,500 for charity by completing the National Student Survey (NSS) in the first three weeks.

6. Healthcare staff striving to further their knowledge and skills celebrated by LJMU

   More than 150 healthcare professionals from across the country were celebrated at a conference hosted by LJMU that championed advanced clinical practice.

7. New financial wellbeing support for staff

   The university is introducing several new financial wellbeing measures to support staff during this challenging financial period.

8. Molecular 'track-and-trace' of ocean life outperforms traditional fish and marine surveys

   Scientists who track-and-trace fish for a living claim that analysing seawater can tell us the richest story of what lies beneath the waves.

9. Discovery Internships for level 5 and 6 students open for applications

   The second round of paid Discovery Internships this semester are open until midnight on Sunday 17 December 2023. Interviews will take place before the end of January 2024 and the internships will begin from early February 2024 (start dates may vary for each role).
