   It is with great sadness that LJMU announces the passing of Dr Malcolm Dixon who worked here for 30 years, until his retirement in 2015.

6. Go ahead for new treatment for Black Bone Disease

   A new drug to treat the ultra-rare genetic disease alkaptonuria (AKU) has been given the go-ahead following research in Liverpool.

9. Staff Car Parking Update

   Following a recent review of LJMU staff car parking provision, the university will continue to subsidise staff car parking until 31 August 2023.
