2. Let’s Talk About Disability Workshop (Virtual) - Tips For Supporting Staff/Students With Disabilities & Long-Term Health Conditions Including Mental Health

   This is an opportunity for LJMU/JMSU Managers, Programme Leaders and Personal Tutors (those directly responsible for staff/students) to participate in a half day (three hour) virtual, Lets Talk About Disability Workshop in order to gain tips for supporting staff/students with disabilities & long-term health conditions including mental health.

4. Addressing gender imbalance within higher education

   For the fourth lecture in LJMU's Athena Lecture Series, three speakers from STEMM and non STEMM backgrounds presented to a packed lecture theatre comprising academics, students, professionals and Year 9 pupils from four local schools.

7. Refugee Nurses course features on BBC Morning Live

   LJMU's acclaimed Refugee Nursing course made the headlines again in a feature on BBC1's flagship Morning Live programme.

8. LJMU takes to the streets for Liverpool Pride

   Over fifty students, staff, family and friends of LJMU, and JMSU, joined Liverpool Pride, to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community.

9. New EDI Workshops Announced – Domestic Abuse Awareness & ‘Actions Speak Louder’ Allyship Training 

   LJMU's Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team are proud to be working in partnership with a number of subject specialists, to deliver a range of interactive (online) staff development training opportunities, including the introduction of two brand new courses; a 2 hour Domestic Abuse Awareness Workshop and a 90min 'Actions Speak Louder' Experiential Allyship (Race) training session, as well as the return of LJMU's 3 hour Transgender Awareness Workshop (back by popular demand).
