   LJMU is utilising its green spaces with the help of students and volunteers in a bid to enhance primary trainee teachers' education journey with the development of the Forest School Initiative.

2. Mersey Youth Rowing's First Training Workshop with LJMU's Performance Sports Department

   The Performance Sports Department hosted Mersey Youth Rowing's inaugural training workshop. The program, developed by Warrington Rowing Club, promotes diversity in rowing and imparts vital life skills. Coached by experts including Dr. Tim Donovan and Professor Graeme Close, the workshop equips youth rowers with essential knowledge for their competitive journey.

3. Business School experts to work on project exploring value of culture and heritage to society

   Dr Rafaela Ganga and Dr Steve Nolan of Liverpool Business School will act a co-investigators on a new research project looking to measure the value of culture and heritage to people in Liverpool.

4. Strengthening STEM education at primary level across Liverpool

   For the past year, teachers from eight primary schools across the Liverpool City region and South Sefton area have participated in a CPD programme, led by experts at LJMU, to increase confidence and self-efficacy in the teaching of science

5. New entrepreneur discovery competition

   LJMU is hosting the local heat of a new entrepreneur discovery competition, open to all University alumni and students. The Federation of Self-Employed and Small Businesses and FSB Connect are running the competition to give budding entrepreneurs a financial boost and raise their profile.

6. Russian press visit University as part of British Council event

   Russian journalists visited LJMU as part of a tour of UK education establishments, organised by the British Council.

7. Ofsted praise for degree apprenticeships

   LJMU has earned a glowing report from Ofsted following an inspection of its degree apprenticeship programmes.

   A worldwide network of active cities is set to expand following a knowledge-sharing event attended by ten different countries.
