1. Staff car parking update August 2023

   The university will continue to subsidise staff car parking until 31 August 2024.

3. Coffee and Croissant, Breakfast and Networking

   Research and Innovation Services (RIS) will be holding an informal networking breakfast event, Coffee and Croissant, at Byrom Street, MTC Social Zone on Thursday 4th April from 8.15am – 9.30am.

4. Updated Assessment and Feedback Policy

   The policy has been updated with two new areas of activity on internal moderation and the use of generative AI (GenAI) in assessment.

5. Metro Mayor backs new Centre for Educational Leadership

   LJMU is launching a new Centre for Educational Leadership to help steer the region's schools and colleges post-COVID.

6. Honorary Fellow: Ian Meadows

   Ian Meadows received an Honorary Fellowship from LJMU on Friday 28 November 2014 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to business and the civic life of the city.

7. Zois Award 2015

   A key member of the Liverpool Telescope Gamma-Ray Burst Team, Professor Andreja Gomboc at the University of Nova Gorica in Slovenia, has received the 2015 Zois Award for her study of Gamma Ray Bursts.

8. Yom Kippur - Day of Atonement

   We wish all our Jewish staff and students at LJMU a good and fulfilling celebration.

9. Long service awards

   The university has updated the Long Service Awards scheme to include celebration of reaching additional key milestones at 25, 35, 45 and 50+ years’ service.
