1. Academic Framework Regulations updates for new academic year

   Two policies have been updated, one for undergraduate and one for postgraduate programmes.

   The university has updated the Long Service Awards scheme to include celebration of reaching additional key milestones at 25, 35, 45 and 50+ years’ service.

   Following a competitive nomination process, LJMU's Kerry Wilson has been invited by the Arts and Humanities Research Council to join its academic Peer Review College.

   This year's staff award winners have been announced.

7. New global opportunities portal

   The LJMU Global Opportunities Team is delighted to announce the launch of a new Global Opportunities Portal. This portal has been developed in-house by the LJMU ITS Team to offer a better user experience to our students seeking new experiences abroad.

8. UKRI open access monograph funding changes

   A reminder that UKRI has recently announced their guidance and requirements with regards to publishing open access monographs, which come into place from 1 January 2024.

9. LJMU policy updates December

   New policy on sustainable food systems and changes to the environmental, energy and sustainability management statement.

10. New ES1 form available for managers

    The Finance team has recently updated the ES1 form used to assess contractors against HMRCs off-payroll working rules (sometimes called IR35).
