   A transformative cross-faculty LJMU project to enhance endoscopy research and training has earned a prestigious award for medical illustration.

7. The First British Astronaut - Helen Sharman CMG OBE Is Coming To LJMU!

   On 17th March 2021 Helen Sharman, the first British person in Space and first British Astronaut will give a talk at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU). Helen will be speaking about her life and career as a scientist and as the first British astronaut.

8. LJMU leads partnership with technology hub to support and innovate region’s businesses

   LJMU received a £2m government grant to help SMEs, and has used the funding to partner with the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) to help transform regional industry through the use of a new Business Launch Centre (MTC@LJMU) based at LJMU’s Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

9. Education students gain experience and insight through placements in Thailand

   For the past eight years students from the LJMU BA Education and BA Early Childhood Studies programmes have had the opportunity to undertake international placements thanks to a partnership with Srinakharinwirot University in Bangkok, Thailand.
