1. Sports Journalism Student wins prestigious NCTJ Award

   MA Sports Journalism Student, Jack Kinsella has won the ‘Best Student Project’ at the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) Awards for Excellence.

2. Academic Registry Roadshows February and March

   The Student Governance Team will deliver the next roadshow on Friday 24 February, Redmonds Building 2.33 and Registry Services will deliver a session on Tuesday 7 March, SLB 3.02.

3. Support for transgender and non-binary students

   We now have dedicated information on our student support webpages, for transgender and non-binary students, to find out how to get help and support while at university, as well as requesting a name change via LJMU.

4. Paid Discovery Internships for level 5 and 6 students

   The final round of Discovery Internships for this academic year is open for applications from second (level 5) and final year (level 6) students.

5. Joint staff and student project wins digital privacy award

   LJMU has won an award at the PICCASO Privacy Awards Europe 2023 for a Privacy and Digital Security project created by staff and students.

6. Media Production student Lilly wins British Citizen Youth Award

   Lilly Crisp, a second-year media production (BA) student has won a British Citizen Youth Award (BCyA) at a ceremony in Westminster thanks to her multiple volunteering roles since the age of 14.

7. Military service leavers and reservists - feedback needed

   Our Armed Forces Champion wants to hear about the experiences of students who have served in the military or are reservists.

8. Reminder to all students to be a good neighbour

   Summer is here, and with more time spent outside and catching up with friends, LJMU are reminding all students, living within the community, some simple reminders on how to be a good neighbour.
