  1. Physical Literacy Consensus Statement for England

    Over the past 6 months, an expert panel of researchers and professionals have been working to develop a Physical literacy Consensus for England. The consensus statement aims to provide a shared understanding of what physical literacy is.

  2. Second National consultation

    This project aims to create a universal definition of physical literacy in England to hopefully catalyse efforts to adopt, support and promote physical literacy in practice.

  4. Contexts of human evolution

    Research within the Contexts of Human Evolution Group involves archaeological, palaeontological and environmental analyses of human evolution. Our research focuses on mammalian evolution, hominin behaviour and ecology, and patterns of faunal and floral distribution.   5. Forensic anthropology

    The Forensic anthropology group is committed to the development of protocols and guidelines to increase the reliability of the recovery, documentation and analysis of human remains. We provide casework consultancy for forensic anthropological analysis, facial approximation and mass grave excavation.   7. Global Health

    International Health is a cross-cutting theme at the Institute for Health Research, and represents all LJMU research active staff collaborating with overseas partners and conducting international health research and evaluation.

  8. Digital Health Interest Group 

    The Digital Health Interest Group within the Institute for Health Research are actively engaged with digital health research and aim to develop long-standing interventions to improve health care and pathways.
