1. People with a passion for higher education needed for LJMU governor roles

   LJMU is currently recruiting for three vacancies on its Board of Governors.

2. Professional Services Staff Governor Elections

   Five candidates have put themselves forwards for the position and voting will take place between Monday 13 and 27 March.

3. Staff Governor vacancy

   The Secretariat is now seeking expressions of interest from eligible candidates to represent Professional Services as a Staff Governor member of the Board of Governors.

4. Staff Governor voting now open

   All Professional Services staff have until 5pm on Monday 27 March to vote for their preferred Staff Governor candidate.

5. Academic Staff Governor Elections

   Following the call for nominations, eight candidates are standing for election, with the election period opening on Monday 5 June and running until Monday 19 June.

6. LJMU Head of Journalism joins UK Government’s Media Literacy Taskforce

   Fran Yeoman, Head of Journalism in the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies, has been appointed to the UK Governments Media Literacy Taskforce Steering Board.

   All Academic staff have until 5pm on Monday 19 June to vote for their preferred Academic Staff Governor candidate.

8. Criminologists use art and play to question ideas of justice

   LJMU academics work alongside artist to create a board game that brings the experiences of life on probation to the general public.

9. Updated Research Degrees Framework 2024/25

   Updates have been made to various regulations and policies that underpin the university’s Research Degrees Framework.
