1. £3,600 raised for charity in first week of NSS

   We have raised a fantastic £3,600 for charity during the first week of the National Student Survey 2020.

   LJMU were joined by Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson DBE DL & Professor Greg Whyte to launch new Disability Sport and Physical Activity Network (DisSPA Network) this month.

   LJMU has significantly improved its performance in the National Student Survey (NSS).

4. LJMU students help refugees at the Polish/Ukrainian border

   MA Wildlife Conservation students Vanessa Grundy, 27 and Alex Donnelly, 27 along with Vanessa's brother Mike Grundy are currently at the Poland-Ukraine border helping refugees get to safe accommodation in Krakow, and further across Europe, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

5. Community Engagement: Faculty's open door to research

   Arts, Professional and Social Studies hosts BIG IDEAS event on June 8.

6. Are you ready for National Student Money Week?

   During week commencing Monday 3 February 2020, LJMU will be taking part in National Student Money Week. The theme for this year is 'Spend Healthy, Live Healthy: Sustainable Money' and during the week we will focus on reducing waste and saving money.

7. Industry trip wins Data Science students €25,000

   Young research students who won a major European data science competition have shared a prize of 50,000!

8. Future Fortnight: 28 February to 11 March – open to all students

   Join the Student Futures team for a series of events helping you think about your future goals. The sessions are friendly, open to students from any programme or year group and will help you gain clarity on your next steps.

9. Minister for Health 'humbled' by resilience of LJMU nurses

   Yara and Rawan Kassab, 21, were a picture of delight as they graduated from an award-winning LJMU course on Friday.
