5. New global opportunities portal

   The LJMU Global Opportunities Team is delighted to announce the launch of a new Global Opportunities Portal. This portal has been developed in-house by the LJMU ITS Team to offer a better user experience to our students seeking new experiences abroad.

6. Staff networks explored, explained and celebrated

   Staff recently came together to celebrate the power of staff networks in the workplace and to mark the launch of the Admin and PA Staff Network.

7. Exploring the relationship between radio and heavy rock and metal music

   International scholars and practitioners came together to discuss the theme at the inaugural Heavy Metal on the Airwaves symposium organised by LJMU researcher and lecturer Dr Nadim Hassan.

8. In memoriam: Peter Law

   The university is deeply saddened by the death of Peter Law, who passed away peacefully after a short illness on Thursday 8 February.

9. Celebrating 20 years of the Start-up Hub

   LJMU is celebrating 20 years of its Start-up Hub this month which has helped over 1,000 businesses and is estimated to have contributed over £20 million in income to the Liverpool City Region economy each year.

10. Working in partnership to deliver transgender workshop

    LJMU, in partnership with the Gender Identity Research and Education Society (GIRES), welcomed staff, students and community representatives to an engaging, interactive transgender workshop recently.
