   Forty seven members of students and staff from Liverpool John Moores University have visited China this month as part of the Liverpool Outbound Education Mission to Shanghai.

4. Liverpool 5G Create project wins £4.3m funding from UK govt

   A project to deliver digital services to sick and elderly people in Liverpool has won £4.3million from the UK government.

5. Dinosaur footprint expert to feature in Channel 5 series fronted by Stephen Fry

   Dinosaurs with Stephen Fry, airing from Sunday 12 February on Channel 5, will feature expert analysis from LJMU’s Dr Peter Falkingham. He will explain how birds are modern descendants of dinosaurs by looking at the motion of ostriches compared to the T. rex.

6. Paid Discovery Internships for level 5 and 6 students

   The final round of Discovery Internships for this academic year is open for applications from second (level 5) and final year (level 6) students.

7. LJMU staff celebrated for their 1315 years of long service

   33 members of staff have been celebrated for working at the university for 25, 35, 45 or 50 years.
