Staff and students at LJMU have welcomed changes to the Highway Code that restructure the road hierarchy and prioritise walking and cycling.
Given the success of last year's pilot, we are running the LJMU Reciprocal Mentoring Programme again and we are extending it to include BAME staff from across the institution. The programme is open to all LJMU Senior Staff from Director Level of non BAME Background and to BAME staff from non-Director Level and to Black Students from all Faculties.
Following the Challenging Racism Collaborative Campaign (webinar series), the University of Kent, Liverpool John Moores University and City, University of London are working with Inclusive Employers to deliver a virtual, Inclusive Allyship Programme.
Liverpool 500 was part of the LJMU MA Writing program and has been shared with Liverpool in Australia a collaboration which forms part of LJMUs Liverpool 2 Liverpool project with University of Wollongongs Liverpool Campus in Sydney.
Updates to policies
The launch of the programme, yesterday evening at Liverpool John Moores University, saw the 26 leaders finding out who they had been paired with.
The aim of the programme is to offer LJMU Managers, Programme Leaders and Personal Tutors further support and guidance, in relation to; operating more confidently and effectively, whilst developing themselves and their staff/students positively.
