1. The Doctoral Academy Conference 2019 Celebrates PGR Activity and Research

   The conference theme of “Community” highlighted PhD, Prof Doc and MPhil Students’ research and activities, both in terms of academic study and voluntary work.

2. New Teaching and Learning Academy policies

   Two new policies will support teaching staff in their development through peer exchange and direct observation.

3. Strengthening STEM education at primary level across Liverpool

   For the past year, teachers from eight primary schools across the Liverpool City region and South Sefton area have participated in a CPD programme, led by experts at LJMU, to increase confidence and self-efficacy in the teaching of science

   From 2 to 11 May join the Grad Academy events and get support from the Student Futures team in the lead up to graduation and beyond on your journey to your next career destination!

5. Teaching and Learning Excellence award winners honoured at ceremony

   The winners of this year’s Teaching and Learning Excellence Awards 2023 (TLAs) received their awards at an event held in the Tithebarn Building.

6. Race equality champion Lord Woolley visits LJMU-curated exhibition of Jamaican art

   Race equality champion and House of Lords crossbencher, Simon Woolley (Lord Woolley of Woodford), was a special guest at the LJMU-curated Jamaica Making exhibition.

7. Lecturer's work featured in national showcase

   A project featuring a lecturer from LJMU will take centre stage next week (Monday 14 June Saturday 19 June) at the British Academys Summer Showcase.

8. Enhancing the student experience through improved assessment and feedback guidance

   A project group has updated our Assessment and Feedback Policy as well as launched a new mini site of guidance for staff to utilise.

9. eDoc - A new postgraduate online progression system

   eDocs launch coincided with the centenary of the PhD qualification in the UK

10. Thesis Boot Camp

    PGRs attended 2 day residential writing event, at Gladstone's Library in Wales.
