Elevate your career journey with Grad Academy at LJMU
The Grad Academy programme is designed to empower current final year students and 2024 LJMU graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today's competitive job market.
The programme consists of sessions on crafting competitive applications, mastering STAR interview techniques, expanding your professional network, and decoding employer expectations.
Grad Academy dates
There are three options to choose from; a two-day in-person programme at the Student Life Building, a one-day in-person programme (for Science and Psychology students) at Byrom Street, and a one-day online programme:
- Grad Academy In-person programme - Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 May, 9.30am-3.30pm, Student Life Building
- Grad Academy in-person programme (specifically for Science and Psychology students) - Tuesday 20 May, 9.30am-4pm, Peter Jost Building, Byrom Street
- Grad Academy Online Programme - Tuesday 22 July, 10am-4pm, online
Registrations are now open and places are limited so register your interest as soon as possible by joining our waitlist. Once you have registered your interest, we will contact you closer to the programme date to confirm your place and provide further details.
The two-day, in-person Grad Academy programme and the one-day in-person programme for Science and Psychology students both offer the unique opportunity to informally network with leading employers and external professionals, explore and gain an insight into local organisations, and grow your professional network.
All in-person attendees will receive a goody bag, lunch will be provided, and upon completion of the programme, you'll receive a Grad Academy certificate and digital badge, showcasing your dedication to professional development and setting you apart in the job market.
Grad Academy is open to all LJMU undergraduate and postgraduate (PGT and PGR) final year students from any programme, and 2024 LJMU graduates.
Final year home students (UG, PGR & PGT)
attending both in-person Grad Academy days (12 and 13 May) are entitled to a £20 voucher per day.
T&Cs apply (this is not available to non-home based UG students or 2024 graduates).
