   Liverpool FC Women has appointed sport scientist Dr Fran Champ to its backroom staff as the club strengthens its medical and sports psychology set-up.

   LJMUs Dr Susan Grant has spent the last decade researching and tracing the history of nursing care in the Soviet Union, with her discoveries now documented in a new publication Soviet Nightingales: Care under Communism.

8. Costis to advise Public Health England on COVID impacts

   Costis Maganaris, of the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, has been appointed a COVID-19 advisor to Public Health England.

9. Family judge for Cheshire and Merseyside hosts first LAC public debate event

   Her Honour Judge Margaret de Haas QC hosted the first public debate held by LJMU’s Legal Advice Centre, which focused on the legal rights of grandparents.
