1. Student Recruitment, Marketing and Admissions take LJMU to Northern Ireland

   Academics, professional service staff and students travelled to Belfast for a recent university applicant day.

2. One day conference to shine expert insight on the history of the Battle of the Atlantic

   The Centre for Port and Maritime History is to host the event in association with the Battle of the Atlantic Memorial Trust, considering the history and legacies of the battle 80 years on.

3. Christine Eyene joins LJMU and jury of Turner Prize 2022

   The Liverpool School of Art and Design has welcomed a new lecturer to its ranks, art critic, historian, and curator Christine Eyene. As well as taking up a new post here at LJMU, she will also play an important role in deciding the winner of one of the best-known prizes for visual art, the Turner Prize 2022, as she has been selected to sit on this years jury.

4. Meera Syal's praise for LJMU illustrator

   Actress and writer Meera Syal has praised the talent of her illustrator - a Liverpool School of Art and Design student.

5. Updated Assessment and Feedback Policy

   The policy has been updated with two new areas of activity on internal moderation and the use of generative AI (GenAI) in assessment.

6. Enhancing the student experience through improved assessment and feedback guidance

   A project group has updated our Assessment and Feedback Policy as well as launched a new mini site of guidance for staff to utilise.

7. Changes to the Leadership and Development Foundation

   The Leadership and Development Foundation is undergoing some changes to better support all staff development across the whole of LJMU.

8. New and updated diversity and inclusion policies

   The Employment Committee has recently approved a new diversity and inclusion policy and guidance document, as well as amendments to an existing policy.

9. Health and Safety policy updates

   A number of Health and Safety policies have been amended and approved by the Health and Safety Committee.
