1. Lecture founder returns to reflect upon 25 years of the Roscoe

   Professor the Lord David Alton returned to St George’s Hall with hundreds of guests from across Liverpool and the LJMU community to reflect on the Roscoe Lecture Series.

2. LJMU presented with silver award for support of the Armed Forces community

   The university was celebrated alongside other Northwest-based organisations for its commitment to the Armed Forces community at the Defence Relationship Management (DRM) Merseyside Silver Awards 2023.

3. Professorship and readership conferment process

   To provide as much planning time as possible we can confirm that the LJMU professorship and readership conferment process for 2023/24 will open from 27 November 2023.

4. Aldham Robarts Library to remain closed on Sundays until end of 2023

   Staff and students can access alternate library services at the Student Life Building or visit the Avril Robarts Library on Sundays.

5. Briefing sessions for professorship and readership conferment

   Colleagues who wish to apply to the LJMU professorship and readership conferment process for 2023/24 can now book a place on our briefing sessions.

6. Additional workshops available for leaders and managers

   The Organisational Development teams’ LJMU Leadership Enhancement And Development (LEAD) programme has added another two workshop sessions.

7. Telling the stories of our people for our Bicentenary

   Since the start of our Bicentenary year, we’ve been curating profiles that tell the stories of our people from the past, the present and those shaping and changing the future for the better.

8. MA fashion student showcases womenswear at L1 John Lewis

   From Monday 12 to Sunday 18 June shop the Leigh Taylor collection in Liverpool One.

9. Launch of LJMU Innovation Programme

   LJMU is launching a new programme to support staff in developing successful innovation and business concepts.

10. Bicentenary Artist in Residence the year so far

    Julia Midgley has sketched the return of our Roscoe Lecture Series, graduation and art and drama students' work.
