1. LJMU staff celebrated for their 1315 years of long service

   33 members of staff have been celebrated for working at the university for 25, 35, 45 or 50 years.

5. New support for staff development

   The university will shortly be introducing a new system to support you in recording and tracking performance and development conversations.

6. Get vaccinated on campus this October

   Female students aged 18 to 25 can get a HPV or MMR vaccine at Byrom Street, Monday to Saturday from 14 to 26 October.

7. Meet Renske Smit, latest researcher to join the Astrophysics Research Institute

   Dr Renske Smit will be joining the Astrophysics Research Institute as an STFC Ernest Rutherford Fellow. We caught up with her to find out more about achievements in astronomy and her plans for her time at LJMU.

   Small businesses are being invited to to access R&D support from Liverpool John Moores University to support a green recovery in the region.

9. World Mental Health Day 2019

   World Mental Health Day on October the 10th is the annual global celebration of mental health education, awareness and advocacy. Throughout the week starting Monday 7th– Friday 11th October LJMU Student Advice and Wellbeing Services will be delivering a range of activities and raising awareness to celebrate good mental health and encourage us all to look at what we can do to maintain and promote positive wellbeing.
