1. Getting a new phone during the winter break and need to access your LJMU account?

   If you get or buy a new phone for Christmas or over the winter break, you’ll need to register your new device so that you still access your LJMU account.

2. Alpine F1 performance coach and jet lag doctoral researcher visits LJMU ahead of new Formula 1 season

   Sport and Exercise Science Professional Doctorate student, Tom Clark, visited LJMU last week in preparation for the start of the new Formula 1 season and to discuss his jet lag research. Tom has spent the past four years working with the Alpine F1 team and specifically their driver Esteban Ocon.

3. Meet the electric Formula Student team heading to Silverstone this summer

   Intrepid engineering students are hoping to race LJMUs first electric racing car around the world-famous Formula 1 track in July.

4. Updating Your Microsoft Profile Picture

   From Monday 12th September, ITS will begin publishing all staff and student security card photos into Microsoft's 365 suite of products.

5. Formula Student road to Silverstone explored in new 1823 Podcast

   In a special edition of the LJMU 1823 Podcast: The road to Silverstone, Dr Christian Matthews is joined by LJMU e-Racing Head of Team 2022, MSc student Cameron Reedy, and former Head of Team, Rhian Griffith, who now works as a mechanical engineer at the Small Robot Company.

   IT Services will soon be migrating staff email accounts to provide us with greater security, increased storage limits and easier accessibility.

7. Enhancements to 'See My Tutor'

   Changes to the See My Tutor system include a new landing page, enhancements to appointment booking, and the ability for tutors to capture and share notes from the meeting

8. ICC academic awarded AHRC Leadership Fellowship

   The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) has awarded Kerry Wilson, Head of Research at the Institute of Cultural Capital, a mid-career Leadership Fellowship

9. Teaching staff urged to sign-up for My Pensions Online

   The start of the academic year can be a good time to review your pension arrangements. All academic teaching staff are reminded that they can sign-up to an online portal if they are members of the Teachers Pension Scheme.
