2. LJMU Head of Journalism joins UK Government’s Media Literacy Taskforce

   Fran Yeoman, Head of Journalism in the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies, has been appointed to the UK Governments Media Literacy Taskforce Steering Board.

3. Maritime SuperSkills Project

   Event to celebrate the successful completion of the project at the Maritime Museum, Royal Albert Dock on 13th June 2019. Attended by Iain McKinnon, Secretary Maritime Skills Alliance, local and national employers and LJMU staff who have helped with the project.

4. Teaching Staff - Call For Nominations to the Board of Governors

   Nominations are sought to fill one vacancy on the Board of Governors for a Staff Governor (Teaching) for the period 1st April 2020 to 31st March 2023.

5. The evolution of large-bodied dinosaurs

   Scientists from LJMU, working with external researchers, have developed examine the evolutionary history of sauropod dinosaurs using computer models.

6. February is LGBT+ History Month

   This month marks LGBT+ History Month 2022, a chance to shine a light on the overlooked and complicated history of all of the identities and communities under the LGBT+ umbrella .

7. Training for managers: disabilities and long-term health conditions, including mental health

   LJMU’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team, are proud to be working in partnership with coaching and training specialists; Result CIC (Community Interest Company) and are pleased to offer LJMU Managers, Programme Leaders and Personal Tutors (those directly responsible for staff/students) the opportunity to participate in a half day Training for Managers of Staff with Disabilities & Long-Term Health Conditions Including Mental Health, workshop.
