1. Induction Update from PVC Student Experience Professor Phil Vickerman

   As induction week begins, PVC Professor Phil Vickerman is sharing updates from the Transition and Induction Group and asking staff to share feedback for next year.

2. New Subcontracting Policy approved

   The approved Subcontracting Policy sets out the requirement for subcontracting provision for degree apprenticeships delivered across the university.

3. Postgraduate Researchers: How’s it going?

   Please tell us about your experience as a postgraduate research student and help raise money for The Whitechapel Centre.

4. Menopause cafe April

   To keep conversations moving forward around the menopause, the next menopause café is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 19 April, from 10am to 11.30am in the John Lennon Art and Design Building, Ann Walker Seminar Room.

5. Designs for inclusion: enhancing doctoral education programme

   Staff can sign-up for the programme delivered across two afternoons, 1pm to 4.30pm on Thursday 9 November and Wednesday 22 November.

6. Academic Board - Call for Nominations

   A call for nominations has opened for Academic Board membership.

7. Mind the GaP!

   Time is rapidly running out for Principal Investigators to be trained on the new Grants and Projects (GaP) system. It has been agreed by the University that any bids for external funding (research and enterprise activity) from April 2020 will need to be set up by the Principal Investigator on the GaP system, so its important that you book onto training ASAP.

8. Additional workshops available for leaders and managers

   The Organisational Development teams’ LJMU Leadership Enhancement And Development (LEAD) programme has added another two workshop sessions.

9. Academic Board vacancies

   The Secretariat is now taking expressions of interests from eligible candidates for two vacancies on the Academic Board, a Directorate and a Professoriate member.

10. Are you ready for National Student Money Week?

    During week commencing Monday 3 February 2020, LJMU will be taking part in National Student Money Week. The theme for this year is 'Spend Healthy, Live Healthy: Sustainable Money' and during the week we will focus on reducing waste and saving money.
