1. IT drop-in sessions

   IT Services is running a series of drop-in classroom display and audio technology introduction/refresher sessions

2. International student engagement and assessment policy updates

   Changes have been made to some LJMU staff policies.

3. Empowering staff to support PGRs from racially minoritised groups

   Academic and professional services staff who support PGRs have a bespoke training and development opportunity designed by the educational charity Grit Breakthrough. Using a coaching approach to support PGRs is a two-day online coaching workshop, which will run across two days in November.

4. Tell your students about Freshers 22 activities

   Students can sign up for Freshers 22 activities or staff can make a group booking for their programme.

5. Support for LJMU staff during exam season

   As the exam period gets underway, we understand it can be a stressful time for students but also for our staff, so were reminding everyone of the free 24/7 support services available at LJMU.

6. Resurfacing works affecting Mount Pleasant Campus (17-21 February)

   Please be aware that restrictions are in place over the next week around our Mount Pleasant Campus due to resurfacing works.

7. Applications open for Research England Policy Support Fund

   LJMU is being allocated funding from the Research England Policy Support Fund (PSF) to support the development of impactful research and engagement activities. Applications of up to £10,000 will be considered and applicants have until 5pm on Monday 10 October 2022 to make a submission.

8. Transgender Awareness Workshops (2019/20)

   LJMU are proud to be working in partnership with Subject Matter Expert; GenderSpace and are pleased to offer LJMU Staff the opportunity to participate in a half day, Transgender Awareness Workshop.

9. Improvement works at John Foster Building

   Next month (June 2022), we will begin a programme of improvement works to John Foster Building, which means it will be closed for a period over the summer.

10. Final Year Future Week and Grad Café for final year students

    Graduating this summer? Join the LJMU Student Futures team for a week of talks and careers sessions focussing on supporting your next steps and come along to our Grad Café to meet and talk to fellow students graduating in 2022
