1. New website course search function

   This week marks the launch of an exciting new development to our website. A project group have been working with an external agency (Sagittarius) to improve the course search function.

2. Enhancing Research Through Ethical Review

   Debate, discussion and deliberation characterised the first ‘Inside the Research Ethics Committee’ workshop which took place recently and attracted researchers from across the University.

3. Empower Programme for students on the Autism spectrum

   The NHS Merseyside Health Sector Career and Engagement Hub is running the Empower programme - a pre-employment transition workshop for second and final year LJMU students on the Autism spectrum.

4. Suicide and Self-Harm Research North West Conference

   Experts from across the North West have come together at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) to share their experiences and knowledge of suicide and self-harm.

5. Academic Board - Call for Nominations

   A call for nominations has opened for Academic Board membership.

6. Don't Panic: Support available at Exam and Assessment time.

   LJMU and John Moores Students' Union (JMSU) are offering a range of support during April and May to help students stay positive and focused during the upcoming assessment period.

7. Family judge for Cheshire and Merseyside hosts first LAC public debate event

   Her Honour Judge Margaret de Haas QC hosted the first public debate held by LJMU’s Legal Advice Centre, which focused on the legal rights of grandparents.

8. Students visit textiles and life conference

   MA Fashion Innovation and Realisation students: Joshua Marriott, Macarena Morilla Dominguez and Courtney Hammond presented research posters based on their MA proposals.

9. Pupils put art at the heart of STEM

   More than 150 primary school children from across the North West came to LJMU to take part in an innovative, hands-on experience, entitled ‘Art at the heart of STEM.’

10. TRANSPEER in Lisbon

    The Portugal-leg of TRANSPEER, the international researcher development programme, has taken place in Lisbon.​​​​​​​
