1. Student Mental Health Survey now open

   Help us continue to improve our health and wellbeing provision for students at Liverpool John Moores University and the University of Liverpool by completing our online mental health survey.

2. nursing and advanced practice awards

   LJMU’s School of Nursing and Advanced Practice is celebrating the achievements of its students, staff and practice partners. The school has this week hosted its annual awards event for 2024, with 11 worthy winners being honoured.

3. Policy updates: Safeguarding, Freedom of Speech and more

   Student Advice and Wellbeing and the International team want to make staff aware in particular of an update to the Safeguarding Policy regarding under-18 international students with LJMU and collaborative partners.

4. Triple win for Nursing and Advanced Practice students

   Three students from the School of Nursing and Allied Health have won awards at the Patient Experience Network (PEN) National Awards 2023.

5. LJMU transforming endoscopy training across the North West

   LJMU’s School of Nursing and Allied Health is helping to transform endoscopy training through its collaboration with a new academy.

6. Open Research Week 2024

   Open Research Week 2024 is a collaborative event by LJMU, Edge Hill University, University of Liverpool, and the University of Essex from Monday 26 February to Friday 1 March.

7. Registration open for conference on decolonial approaches to teaching and research

   A mini-conference highlighting developments in decolonial approaches to teaching and research across the university featuring three sessions of talks and discussion on decolonising pedagogy, assessment and research methods, will take place in November.

8. Chancellor sees "extraordinary" health students in action

   LJMU Chancellor, Nisha Katona MBE, dropped in for a visit to the Faculty of Health and was moved by the “extraordinary students” that she spoke with and learnt new skills from.

9. Health and safety code of practice updates

   Two of our health and safety codes of practice and have updated and can be accessed on the Policy Centre.
