1. Academic Board election results 2023

   A host of representatives from our faculties, along with professional services, have been elected to the Academic Board following a series of elections that took place over the past fortnight.

2. Provide peer-to-peer wellbeing support

   LJMU Connectors provide peer-to-peer mental wellbeing support to colleagues, at a local level, across the university.

3. Military veterans, reservists and their partners offered enhanced support by LJMU

   As an Armed Forces friendly organisation, LJMU has introduced new measures to better support veterans, reservists and their partners who work for the university, or who may look to join the institution in the future.

4. New and improved LJMU Policy Centre

   The new policy centre has launched.

5. LJMU joins action group spearheading positive change for technical career pathways

   Two LJMU staff members will sit on the Career Pathways Action Group.

6. Take charge of your pension

   This Pension Awareness Week (11-15 September) access free, impartial, and straightforward pension information, as well as a series of live sessions.

7. Confidential Waste Policy update

   The updated policy includes further information on disposing of small amounts of confidential waste in confidential waste bins across the university and on how you can order secure bags for larger quantities.

8. Your LJMU Your Voice

   We have launched an exercise to learn about your experiences of working at the university.

9. Menopause cafes throughout 2024

   This year we will once again host four menopause cafes for our staff, with the first taking place on Tuesday 16 January, and anyone wishing to attend can book via the staff wellbeing events page.

10. Aldham Robarts Library to remain closed on Sundays until end of 2023

    Staff and students can access alternate library services at the Student Life Building or visit the Avril Robarts Library on Sundays.
