1. Restrictions on using USBs

   From Monday 4 September, students will no longer be able to use USB storage devices on LJMU computers, laptops and other IT equipment.

   Nominations are now invited for individuals and organisations to be considered for Honorary Fellowships and Awards.

4. Consultation LJMU and the Atlantic Slave Economy

   In February 2019, LJMU joined the Universities Studying Slavery Consortium (USS), based at the University of Virginia.

5. PHI continues status as WHO Collaborating Centre for Violence Prevention

   World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed that LJMU’s Public Health Institute (PHI) will continue to be recognised as a WHO Collaborating Centre for Violence Prevention.

6. Professorship and readership conferment process

   To provide as much planning time as possible we can confirm that the LJMU professorship and readership conferment process for 2023/24 will open from 27 November 2023.

7. Cook Together at LJMU: Free lunch, recipes and supermarket voucher

   As part of LJMU’s support with the rising cost of living, LJMU will be relaunching our Cook Together initiative this Friday 3 February with a free lunch in SLB

8. Return of the Professional Services Excellence Awards

   Nominations are now open until Monday 13 January 2025.

10. Research active staff urged to join focus groups

    Research active staff are being invited, by the LJMU Concordat Steering Group, to participate in a focus group on the research environment and culture at LJMU.
