1. How will Actus benefit you?

   Colleagues across LJMU have begun using Actus, our brand new online platform to support staff development.

2. Why the menopause matters and workplace support at LJMU

   For the past two years, colleagues across LJMU have been working to better understand and recognise the type of support needed by those experiencing the menopause, and to devise ways to create greater awareness across the organisation.

3. Changes in Core Café opening times: Tuesday 31 October

   Due to the passing of one of LJMU’s much loved catering team members, there will be several changes to Core Café opening hours across the day on Tuesday 31 October

4. Alleged Misconduct in Research and Knowledge Exchange Policy now approved

   The policy can be accessed via the LJMU Policy Centre.

5. New Professors and Readers

   LJMU has promoted five new professors and 34 new readers.

6. Updated Research Degrees Framework 2024/25

   Updates have been made to various regulations and policies that underpin the university’s Research Degrees Framework.

7. Climate Emergency: Active Travel Plan to incentivise cycling and walking

   Incentives for staff and students to travel sustainably are being put on the table to back the university's newly-approved Active and Sustainable Travel Plan.

8. New Diversity and Inclusion Policy

   The D&I Team has developed the Transgender and Non-Binary Policy for staff and students, with accompanying guidance.

9. Menopause cafe April

   To keep conversations moving forward around the menopause, the next menopause café is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 19 April, from 10am to 11.30am in the John Lennon Art and Design Building, Ann Walker Seminar Room.
