1. Last Coffee and Connections of 2019

   Friday 6th December will be the last Coffee and Connections of 2019 and will take place from 11am at Redmonds Building. Everyone is invited.

2. New workplace milk initiative

   Staff can now order milk through Catering Services for their team to collect once a week.

3. New website course search function

   This week marks the launch of an exciting new development to our website. A project group have been working with an external agency (Sagittarius) to improve the course search function.

4. LJMU donates microscopes for African youngsters

   A project is underway to ship LJMU microscopes to Africa.

5. Shakespeare in a nutshell

   Shakespeare; creative genius, wordsmith and innovator, was also a man of the people. His influence on the English language has stood the test of time, and lines such as ‘in a nutshell,’ ‘mum's the word,’ ‘eaten out of house and home,’ ‘all's well that ends well" and ‘a wild goose chase’ are just some of those in common, everyday usage.

6. Writing for Wellbeing

   An invitation for students to take part in Writing for Wellbeing workshops.

7. LJMU and LFC Foundation extend partnership

   Liverpool John Moores University and LFC Foundation are broadening their successful partnership to create new research, employment and volunteering opportunities for students.

8. Joint staff and student project wins digital privacy award

   LJMU has won an award at the PICCASO Privacy Awards Europe 2023 for a Privacy and Digital Security project created by staff and students.

   Submissions are now open for the PHD VC Studentship scheme 2023/24

10. LJMU students help the global fight against pneumonia

    Over 300 undergraduate and postgraduate LJMU students have registered their interest in clinical trials at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicines Accelerator Research Clinic (ARC) with many LJMU students having already taken part in a study.
