1. Data protection related policy updates

   Four data protection related policies have been updated and can now be found on the LJMU Policy Centre.

2. Improvement works at John Foster Building

   Next month (June 2022), we will begin a programme of improvement works to John Foster Building, which means it will be closed for a period over the summer.

3. Training materials now available on Canvas for CourseLoop

   The CourseLoop Canvas resource has short video guides on how to get started in addition to information if you require additional help and support.

4. Framework for Academic Quality and Standards Policy update

   This staff policy has had a minor amendment.

5. Academic Registry invigilation training

   Training sessions will be held via Microsoft Teams throughout April and will cover the main aspects of the role of invigilators, including responsibilities prior to, during and following the completion of the examination.

6. New approach to degree apprenticeships

   LJMU is developing a new, more efficient process to manage our degree apprenticeship programmes.

7. Updating Your Microsoft Profile Picture

   From this month LJMU will begin publishing all student and staff security card photos into Microsofts 365 suite of products.

8. Don't rush to rent

   There is a surplus of private student accommodation in Liverpool so you can take your time to do your research and find the right property later in the academic year. 

9. Sustainability and climate survey

   What do you think LJMU’s priorities should be around sustainability and climate change?

10. LJMU undertake unique study which will inform early years education

    Scientists at LJMU are to undertake a pioneering study on children's early number skills which will inform the way young children learn. Read the news story.
