Our staff networks have been integral in progressing certain policies for LJMU staff, including on maternity leave and menopause.
All staff and students are invited to LJMU's Celebrating Cultures Event on Wednesday 15 June as part of the Students at the Heart Conference.
Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing, Ebenezer Banahene, has won the North West award for Outstanding Contribution to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion from the Royal College of Nursing.

LJMUs Positive Action Trainees were celebrated at an event this week after almost a year of working at the university, in key professional and technical roles.
Six months after launching the Reciprocal Mentoring programme, prominent leaders from the city of Liverpool and the university came together on campus, to mark the halfway point of their innovative scheme to develop greater understanding between the university and the communities they serve.
The journalism department is hosting a free one-day conference on EDI in journalism education on Wednesday 26 June.
Staff can sign-up for the programme delivered across two afternoons, 1pm to 4.30pm on Thursday 9 November and Wednesday 22 November.
