1. Dental plan for LJMU staff

   The scheme provided by Unum Dental is an insurance policy available to LJMU staff, apply by 31 Jan 2024.

2. Pensions Awareness Week online events 12-16 September

   As part of Pensions Awareness Week, Merseyside Pension Fund will be running a series of live online events which aim to increase pensions awareness among active members of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

3. Designs for inclusion: enhancing doctoral education programme

   Staff can sign-up for the programme delivered across two afternoons, 1pm to 4.30pm on Thursday 9 November and Wednesday 22 November.

4. Academic Staff Governor Elections

   Following the call for nominations, eight candidates are standing for election, with the election period opening on Monday 5 June and running until Monday 19 June.

6. New workplace milk initiative

   Staff can now order milk through Catering Services for their team to collect once a week.

7. Respect Always Coffee and Catch Ups this November

   Do you feel respected within LJMU? All staff are invited to Respect Always 'Coffee and Catch Ups' throughout November to tell us your thoughts. Refreshments will also be provided.

8. Be part of our Validation and Periodic Programme Reviews

   Academic colleagues are invited to express an interest in becoming a panel member or chair for our Validation and Periodic Programme Reviews.

9. Pensions and financial planning support for staff

   A series of support and information sessions will be available to LJMU staff over the coming weeks to find out more about pensions and financial planning.
