1. Senior Lecturer wins Royal College of Nursing Award

   Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing, Ebenezer Banahene, has won the North West award for Outstanding Contribution to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion from the Royal College of Nursing.

2. REF 2021 Consideration for Individual Circumstances

   As part of the University’s commitment to supporting equality and diversity in the forthcoming Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021), we have put in place safe and supportive structures for eligible academic staff to declare information about any equality-related circumstances that may have affected their ability to research productively during the assessment period (1 January 2014 – 31 December 2020), and particularly their ability to produce research outputs at the same rate as staff not affected by circumstances.

3. Nine funded projects combat discrimination and inequality

   The impact made by nine research projects led by LJMU staff has been celebrated at an event on campus.

4. Celebrating Cultures Event 2022

   All staff and students are invited to LJMU's Celebrating Cultures Event on Wednesday 15 June as part of the Students at the Heart Conference.

   Current LJMU Paramedic Science students, Mathew Keegan, Emily Brown & Naomi Roberts have been named the winners of the Paramedic Games 2022 at LJMU.

7. Secure a paid internship and discover what you want to be

   LJMU is offering our second and final year students (Levels 5 & 6) the opportunity to undertake a paid 'Discovery Internship' with a local organisation, working on a suitable project or piece of work that will enhance your employability skills and career insight.

   All students and staff are invited to join LJMU at Liverpool Pride on Saturday 27 July.

10. LJMU joins record-breaking Liverpool Pride March 2024

    More than 100 students, staff and alumni took to the streets for the Liverpool City Region Pride March at the weekend.
