   LJMU Connectors provide peer-to-peer mental wellbeing support to colleagues, at a local level, across the university.

6. World’s rarest great ape virtually wiped out in a century

   The survival of the worlds rarest great ape the Tapanuli Orangutan is hanging in the balance, according to a team of scientists.

7. Military veterans, reservists and their partners offered enhanced support by LJMU

   As an Armed Forces friendly organisation, LJMU has introduced new measures to better support veterans, reservists and their partners who work for the university, or who may look to join the institution in the future.

8. LJMU launches pioneering scheme with senior Black leaders from across the Liverpool City Region

   The launch of the programme, yesterday evening at Liverpool John Moores University, saw the 26 leaders finding out who they had been paired with.

9. Passion for gender equity inspires international partnership to promote Women in Science

   Women scientists at LJMU have won a grant to share our institutional learnings on gender equality with partner institutions in Brazil.
