   Legendary British film director Ken Loach joined staff and students for a screening of his 1995 film 'Land and Freedom' followed by an hour-long Q&A.

3. Submissions for the Green Gown Awards

   The university is looking for potential submissions for the Green Gown Awards, which recognise exceptional sustainability initiatives being undertaken by universities and colleges.

4. Screen School student hailed at international film festival

   A Screen School student has won first prize at the 2019 Pesaro Film Festival. Taking place in Pesaro, Italy, the festival recognises the talents of established and emerging filmmakers, and confers awards covering a range of areas, including a category for university students.

5. Visit to House of Lords to discuss how to support disabled graduates

   Keren Coney, Careers Adviser in Student Advancement: LJMU's Careers, Employability and Enterprise Service, was thrilled to go to the House of Lords to meet with Lord Shinkwin to discuss how to support disabled graduates as they seek to enter the workplace.

6. March is Library Fest

   Library Services are gearing up for an exciting lineup of events this March as part of Library Fest 2024. There’ll be a range of exciting activities taking place from book swaps to poetry readings, exhibitions, and giveaways for all students, staff and visitors to get involved in.

7. Estranged Students Solidarity Week

   Monday 25th - Friday 29th November is Estranged Students Solidarity Week, a national campaign to raise awareness of the issues affecting students who are studying in higher education without the support of a family network.

8. LJMU marks Remembrance 2023

   Students and staff have marked Remembrance 2023 by supporting the RBL Poppy Appeal, taking part in acts of Remembrance, and showcasing research.

9. Team LJMU makes Top 50 in BUCS Rankings

   Top 50 in the UK, makes LJMU one of the top places to study, whilst also competing at university level in sport.

10. LJMU Chancellor welcomes scholars, Honorary Fellows and alumni to third Middle Temple celebration

    Over 110 LJMU Scholars, Honorary fellows and alumni came together at a special event in London’s historic Middle Temple last night, hosted by LJMU Chancellor and Honorary Fellow, Sir Brian Leveson.
