   LJMU has confirmed a number of new professors and readers following a rigorous process.

   Following the call for nominations for five vacancies on our Academic Board, the Secretariat is pleased to announce that they have filled the positions.

3. Honorary Fellow Lou McGrath OBE

   Liverpool John Moores University awards Honorary Fellowship to Lou McGrath OBE at Liverpool Cathedral on Friday 14 July 2017.

4. New website course search function

   This week marks the launch of an exciting new development to our website. A project group have been working with an external agency (Sagittarius) to improve the course search function.

5. Staff Governor voting now open

   All Professional Services staff have until 5pm on Monday 27 March to vote for their preferred Staff Governor candidate.

6. New Bicentenary film celebrates Graduation

   As LJMU continues its Bicentenary year, the next in a series of bespoke videos has been released, this time recognising the amazing achievement and celebration that is graduation at LJMU.

7. New mental wellbeing peer support

   We have a new team in place to help support any member of staff with their mental wellbeing. The LJMU Connectors are on hand to provide peer support and make sure colleagues have access to the appropriate resources and services.

8. New arrangements for AV support

   We have a new system in place to support you in using audio visual and display technology in our teaching spaces.

9. New Forensic Research Institute launched

   LJMU has launched a new Forensic Research Institute (FORRI) to support and enhance the criminal justice system.

10. VC Awards nominations now open

    Nominations for the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence in Research and Knowledge Exchange 2023 are now open.
