5. LJMU reveals digital image bringing people face to face with Seventeenth Century Scottish soldier

   LJMU’s Face Lab has unveiled a digital reconstruction of the face of a Seventeenth century Scottish Soldier whose body was discovered at a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013.

6. Kind staff and students support Whitechapel Centre Christmas appeal

   Warm clothes, selection boxes, toiletry sets and Christmas foods were among the items collected and donated by staff and students.

8. LJMU PHD student Valeria Carini recognised at Pandemic Institute’s first Student Excellence Awards

   Valeria was presented the award alongside students from the University of Liverpool and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine with grants for scientific research, aimed to enhance preparedness for future pandemics.

9. Empower Programme for students on the Autism spectrum

   The NHS Merseyside Health Sector Career and Engagement Hub is running the Empower programme - a pre-employment transition workshop for second and final year LJMU students on the Autism spectrum.
