1. Long-serving staff celebrate their LJMU careers

   Over 100 staff, with more than 25 years’ service each, were invited to enjoy a special afternoon tea.

2. Discovery of a new great ape: The Tapanuli orangutan

   An international team of researchers have just described a new ape species, the Tapanuli orangutan, find out more about this exciting discovery here.

3. Academic Registry invigilation training

   Training sessions will be held via Microsoft Teams throughout April and will cover the main aspects of the role of invigilators, including responsibilities prior to, during and following the completion of the examination.

4. Recruitment Officer Oliver to stage production at Shakespeare North Playhouse

   LJMU staff member Oliver Back is delighted to share that his latest production is set to be staged at the Shakespeare North Playhouse.

5. Bicentenary branded templates and assets

   To celebrate this special milestone year, we’ve added a range of branded templates and assets to our brand and design hub for all staff to access and use throughout the year.

6. New way to request visitor parking and out of hours or security access

   Campus Support (Security) now has a number of staff request forms available via the LJMU HelpMe portal, to help with the management of requests.

7. Applications open for Research England Policy Support Fund

   LJMU is being allocated funding from the Research England Policy Support Fund (PSF) to support the development of impactful research and engagement activities. Applications of up to £10,000 will be considered and applicants have until 5pm on Monday 10 October 2022 to make a submission.

8. Academic Registry training sessions February to July 2023

   There are still many staff training opportunities available this academic year, through to the end of July 2023, covering a range of topics.

9. Making Every Contact Count training January

   Staff are invited to take part in a Making Every Contact Count training day on Monday 15 January.

10. Academic Registry Roadshows February and March

    The Student Governance Team will deliver the next roadshow on Friday 24 February, Redmonds Building 2.33 and Registry Services will deliver a session on Tuesday 7 March, SLB 3.02.
