1. Menopause cafes throughout 2024

   This year we will once again host four menopause cafes for our staff, with the first taking place on Tuesday 16 January, and anyone wishing to attend can book via the staff wellbeing events page.

2. New and updated diversity and inclusion policies

   The Employment Committee has recently approved a new diversity and inclusion policy and guidance document, as well as amendments to an existing policy.

3. Staff and community partners celebrate LGBT History Month

   To mark LGBT HIstory Month, LJMU Together (the University's LGBT+ Staff Network) organised a social event on Friday 22nd February featuring talks and a chance to play 'Psychic Bingo' with Liverpool's Lady Seanne.

4. Sport-for-all manager joins LJMU as part of international collaboration

   LJMU is set to strengthen its reputation for promoting sport-for-all and physical activity in its communities.

5. In memoriam: John Windle

   We are saddened to learn of the death of our former colleague, John Windle.

6. LJMU and The Eurovision Song Contest 2023

   Through research, collaborations and celebrations, we are united in welcoming The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 to Liverpool, on behalf of Ukraine.

7. Congratulations to our global Unicaf graduates!

   Almost 2,000 students have graduated from global online courses since 2020

8. Induction September 2024 update

   As the whole university looks towards the beginning of the next standard academic year, this all staff update offers an overview of the work being undertaken to register and welcome our new students.

   Liverpool John Moores University awards Honorary Fellowship to Canon Ruth Gould MBE at Liverpool Cathedral on Wednesday 12 July 2017.
